Secondary domain: - if you plan to replace your primary domain with this new domain. - if you want to add a new domain for a separate team or business unit. User alias domain: - if you want to add email aliases (alternate email addresses) for your existing users. Add a user alias domain or secondary domain -> https://support.google.com/a/answer/7502379?hl=en

A. Add the acquired domain as an alias to the primary Google Workspace domain. The best way to achieve this without updating the information of preexisting users is to add the acquired domain as an alias to the primary Google Workspace domain. This allows users with the new domain to receive emails sent to their previous domain without affecting the email addresses or information of existing users. Users can have multiple email aliases associated with their accounts, and this approach allows for seamless communication between users with different domains within the same Google Workspace environment.

B is correct. For all the A answers : with an alias, all existing adresses get an alias on the alias domain ("without updating the information of preexisting users"). We need it only for the acquired users but most importantly we are not sure that usernames on the former domain are identical to the ones on the new domain. Secondary domain allow to add aliases for a subset of users and define them accordingly.

Same here who dared to choose Correct Answer as D with half baked mind? Have little common sense. Useless giving a wrong direction. Wasting everyone's precious time. Have some knowledge before quoting Correct Answer rather than just putting something without any logic. It is becoming garbage dumping ground.

B is the answer. Adding the acquired domain as an alias will create conflict on pre-existing users.

Selected Answer: B
B: No problem. A: This will cause conflicts between preexisting user's emails and acquired new users's one. If there are two Alice, means a preexisting Alice and an acquired new Alice, whice one get "[email protected]" as an alias? So B is better than A without considering price.

A. Add the acquired domain as an alias to the primary Google Workspace domain. By adding the acquired domain as an alias to the primary Google Workspace domain, you can ensure that the new users with the acquired domain as their primary email address will still be able to receive emails sent to their previous domain. This allows for seamless communication between users of both domains without the need to update the email information of preexisting users or make any significant changes to the domain configuration. This approach is the most efficient and straightforward way to achieve the desired result.

If the domain you're adding has its own set of users, add it as a secondary domain. The info of preexisting users will remain the same... Option A gives preexisting users a domain alias
