A and C are the closest I could think of. Integrating FAZ with other Fortidevices requires specific OS versions that is supported by the installed OS version on FAZ for DBase schema and log format imposed on that FAZ OS version installed.

I can't find any reference of this. The closest I got was here: https://docs2.fortinet.com/document/fortianalyzer/6.0.4/administration-guide/104326/adding-devices-using-the-wizard but it does not say WHY one has to specify the device version. I just need to trust you on this one I guess.
