Disk status can be one of the following states:
• Good: The disk is functioning normally.
• Rebuilding: FortiAnalyzer is writing data to a newly added hard drive to restore logical drive to an optimal
state. It is not fully fault tolerant until rebuilding is complete.
• Initializing: FortiAnalyzer is writing to all the hard drives in the device in order to make the array fault
tolerant.
• Verifying: FortiAnalyzer is ensuring the parity data of a redundant drive is valid.
• Degraded: The hard drive is no longer being used by the RAID controller.
• Inoperable: One or more drives is missing—the drive is no longer available to the OS. Data in an
inoperable state cannot be accessed.
