D. Only applications going through the VPC are protected.
A FortiWeb VM deployed inside a virtual private cloud (VPC) protects only the applications that are routed through that specific VPC. In contrast, FortiWeb Cloud provides broader protection for web applications regardless of where they are hosted, without being limited to a specific VPC.
Other options are not relevant drawbacks:
A: Both FortiWeb VM and FortiWeb Cloud protect against OWASP Top 10 threats.
B: Both solutions support zero-day protection.
C: There is no inherent latency difference in applying advanced WAF protection between FortiWeb VM and FortiWeb Cloud.
For me it make sense the answer be D. If Fortiweb VM it's deployed in Security VPC it's reasonable to think that only it's going to protect web apps which are located in the same Security VPC.
