B. Because you CAN (not must) place devices that try to authenticate through 802.1X, but fail, in the VLAN selected as Authentication fail VLAN. In the example image of the Study Guide, they used quarantined VLAN for this option. Reference: FortiSwitch 7.2 Study Guide, page 232
