The attorney-work-product rule protects materials prepared in anticipation of litigation from being disclosed to opposing parties. Since you are employed directly by an attorney, the work you are doing falls under this protection, and discussing the case with anyone outside of the attorney-client relationship, including the CEO, could potentially compromise this protection and the integrity of the investigation.
