Attackers can also embed malicious macros in the form of a VBAscript or JavaScript in a Microsoft Office document (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) or PDF, and use social engineering techniques to get the users run the macros on their systems. Here, the attack initiates with a document or file but transforms into a fileless threat when the malicious scripts are executed directly to the memory using whitelisted tools like PowerShell
