Correct answer is C.
Advantages of UFD
In the event all uplinks fail on a switch, UFD automatically shuts down the
downstream interfaces. The downed port forces the server to transfer all traffic
to the redundant interface.
UFD reduces network and configuration complexity and simplifies path
determination.
When used with VLT, UFD prevents VLTi interface from being overwhelmed
with traffic
Correct : A
it didn't prevent the loss of upstream link, but when it did happen, it could detect and immediately disable the downstream link so the failover could happen faster, thus reduce loss connectivity
Not saying C is incorrect, but w0hy do you think C? Do you have a link explaining? I think D is correct. From the OS10/5/2 guide it syays "Uplink failure detection (UFD) indicates the loss of upstream connectivity to servers connected to the switch."
