The system board was just replaced on a Dell EMC PowerEdge 13G Server, and the technician needs to restore the saved configurations. Where is the configuration stored and returned to the system profile?
From the textbook:
"The server profile backup, in servers prior to 15G, is a backup up to a vFlash SD
card or a share that contains the configuration and firmware information for various
components on the host server. In 15G, the server profile is saved on the right
control panel."
This would make B to be the correct answer.
I think A: As per the course book:
After the system board is replaced, a special boot screen gives the technician the option to restore saved configurations, service tag, license settings and diagnostic programs. The existing server information is stored in the server front panel board.
With Easy Restore, these are now backed up to the control panel.
After the Dell on-site tech replaces the system board and re-installs the components as a special boot screen will appear. This will provide the option to restore all saved configurations, service tag, license settings and diagnostic programs. No user intervention is required, as Easy Restore is auto-enabled on all PowerEdge Servers 13G and above.
The serial flash storage, located on the server front panel, can store up to 4MB of data.
