You plan to schedule a Live Optics sampling with your customer to size a Dell EMC SC Series array. However, the customer wants to postpone the run until the end of the quarter because there could be more activity on the current storage system.

From SC sizing Guide : Often the question is asked about the benefit of performing a data capture for multiple days or waiting for month or quarter end, to capture what is believed to be a period of higher activity. Live Optics can be used at any time. Customers are encouraged to run it as often as desired. Customer’s performance activity is very often patterned. Instead of waiting for a given time period, run a 24-hour collection and continue with the sales process. Be sure to run it again and again and for longer periods, if desired. Don’t wait for a set period. So initial answer would be B

Key is a "representative sample".....if sample is not reflective of a Peak-performance day the design could be insufficient ...... would stick with A as correct answer

I found it in Dell documents, and minabzd16 is correct, the answer is B, though I don't agree :) This is what you should choose.

I would go for A, as 1 day is never enough to get enough info. I would always run live optics for a minimum of 3 days. B is definitely not the right choice.

Would you be able to share why, please? Did you find it in any Dell document? I'm confused about the A and C. thanks

This is a bad question. In training, it says, in most cases, a daily sample will do. And it says don't wait for the peak workloads for weeks because you might lose the opportunity to another vendor. BUT at the same time, you need to capture the peak workloads for your design. :S
