D is correct :
Data is first striped across multiples drives, then the complete array of drives are mirrored onto another set of drives, raid 10 can be considered striped mirrors.
have a look on this link (https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000128635/dell-servers-what-are-the-raid-levels-and-their-specifications#raid10) check video B understanding raid level (even if, for raid 10, the "reader" says "mirrored in raid 0" :) he does not seem to understand that raid 0 is striping) the video shows clearly that first mirrors are created, then mirrors are striped. So answer is B
B is correct.
When building raid 10, the 2 mirror are first created then the mirrors are striped.
But when writing, the data is first striped (lets say two blocks), first block is written on the first mirror, second block is written on the second mirror.
The question here is not about writing data to raid 10. It is about how the the raid 10 is built.
Which is: first the mirror are created, the the mirrors are striped.
D is correct RAID 10 is a combination of levels 1 (mirroring) and 0 (striping)
https://www.acronis.com/en-us/blog/posts/whats-raid10-and-why-should-i-use-it/
RAID 10 is usually configured by striping mirrored disks, because it minimizes the risks of data loss. If we mirror striped disks, a single drive failure invalidates a half of the drives.
B
RAID 10 is called "stripe of mirrors", the disks within the group are mirrored but the groups themselves are striped.
So, mirror first and then stripe.
Lots of discussion on this. Great to see.
