Selected Answer: C
Shredding is a physical destruction method that involves cutting the SSDs into small pieces using a shredder or other similar machine. This ensures that the data on the SSDs is completely destroyed and cannot be recovered. Incinerating is another physical destruction method that involves burning the SSDs to destroy the data. While incinerating is also an effective method of physically destroying SSDs, it is generally not the preferred method due to the potential environmental and safety concerns associated with burning electronic waste.

I think in the context of this test, they are referring to crypto shredding of the encryption key. Not physically shredding the device. The physical destruction, incineration, would be the best choice.

got the answer right here and it is NOT degaussing..... Degaussing does not work on SSDs, because SSDs do not use magnetic fields to store data like traditional hard drives do. Running an SSD through a degaussing machine will not destroy the device or the data on it. For destroying SSDs, shredding is recommended in order to physically destroy the device beyond the possibility of repair or recovery. A. Degaussing: Degaussing is a process that involves using a strong magnetic field to erase the data on a storage device. Degaussing is an effective method for disposing of SSDs because it can completely erase the data on the drive, including data that may be stored in hard-to-reach areas or that may not be easily overwritten.
