C. FTP.
File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a commonly used protocol for transferring files over the internet. FTP uses TCP ports 20 and 21 to transfer data. However, FTP transfers data in cleartext, which means that the data can be read by anyone who intercepts the transmission. This can be a security concern, as sensitive information such as login credentials and file contents can be easily compromised. For this reason, it is recommended to use more secure protocols, such as Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) or HTTPS, when transferring sensitive data. Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) uses UDP ports 161 and 162 and transfers data in cleartext, whereas Secure Shell (SSH) uses TCP port 22 and transfers data securely. Telnet also uses TCP port 23 and transfers data in cleartext.
The FTP protocol typically uses port 21 as its main means of communication. An FTP server will listen for client connections on port 21. SFTP is encrypted, FTP is not.
Oh look! a free network+ study question! Thank god CompTIA always FAILS to separate exam material to distract you with random shit that better belongs on other exams so they can keep that re-take voucher in the CompTIA store!
C - File Transfer Protocol (FTP) allows comuters to transfer files between a server and a clients on anetwork . Port 21 use for the control connection . Port 20 for the data connection .
