Selected Answer: D
D. Warm A warm disaster recovery site aligns most closely with the scenario described for several reasons: It has a target storage array that receives replication traffic, indicating some level of data synchronization. Warm sites typically have data synchronized daily or weekly. The servers are only powered on in the event of a disaster. This is a key characteristic of warm sites, where equipment is partially set up but not fully operational until needed. Warm sites occupy a middle ground between hot and cold sites in terms of readiness and cost. Key features of a warm site that match the description include: Partially established network connectivity Equipment and hardware are set up but not fully operational Failover occurs within hours or days, as servers need to be powered on This setup allows for a balance between cost-effectiveness and recovery speed, which is typical of warm disaster recovery sites

Selected Answer: B
The cold site best describes the situation described in the problem statement. The reasons for this are as follows The target storage array is receiving replication traffic: This indicates that data is being replicated from the primary site to the disaster recovery site. Servers are only powered on in the event of a disaster: This means that the servers are not operational during normal times, a characteristic of a cold site. Cold sites are the lowest cost disaster recovery option, but take the longest time to recover. Data is replicated, but it takes longer to get the system up and running.

ahh crud, I'm changing my answer to C. With warm sites, it specifically states that software and data are not in place prior to a disater. Page 328.

Hot sites are designed for an immediate takeover of operations in the event of a disaster. They have all the equipment necessary for the business—servers, workstations, network devices, office furniture, power, and Internet connectivity. A hot site is a fully capable location ready at a moment’s notice. Because of this, hot sites are costly—they are essentially a mirror of the primary site, with all associated costs. Data is replicated to the hot site regularly to ensure that it has up-to-date content. Warm sites contain the necessary space for your data center and business offices and some of the required computer and network hardware. For the site to take over from the primary, some equipment needs to be brought in, and some configuration needs to occur. Data has to be migrated to the warm site. This makes the warm site less expensive upfront than a hot site, but it also requires more time to get the business up and running again if there’s a disaster. (cont.) Cold sites contain the necessary office space, without the essential equipment such as workstations, servers, network devices, and office furniture. Data has to be migrated to the cold site. A cold site is basically just the building, and the rest of the equipment must be brought in before the site can take over operations. Power, HVAC, and physical space are all that are provided. Selected Answer: C
Hot Site A hot site is a leased facility that contains all the resources needed for full operation. This environment includes computers, raised flooring, full utilities, electrical and communications wiring, networking equipment, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs). The only resource that must be restored at a hot site is the organization's data, usually only partially. It should only take a few minutes to bring a hot site to full operation. Although a hot site provides the quickest recovery, it is the most expensive to maintain. In addition, it can be administratively hard to manage if the organization requires proprietary hardware or software. A hot site requires the same security controls as the primary facility and full redundancy, including hardware, software, and communication wiring.

Selected Answer: C
The difference between a hot site and a warm site is that while the hot site provides a mirror of the production data-center and its environment(s), a warm site will contain only servers ready for the installation of production environments.  https://www.seguetech.com/three-stages-disaster-recovery-sites/#
