This question is just weird… are they asking what would offer the fastest connection speed or what would re-establish connectivity the fastest?

Selected Answer: C
Using a mobile hotspot can quickly establish an internet connection for the remote user. A mobile hotspot uses cellular data to create a Wi-Fi network that the user can connect to, bypassing the need for a physical connection to the ISP. This solution is practical and efficient, especially in situations where the primary internet connection is down, and immediate connectivity is required. Mobile hotspots are widely used for their convenience and the ability to provide internet access almost anywhere cellular service is available, as highlighted in the CompTIA A+ Core 1 (220-1101) Exam Objectives in sections related to networking and mobile devices

The question does not ask what the problem might be but rather asks what a temporary solution can be in the meantime while the connection can be restored from the ISP.

Yes, I got this question on my exam. I was confused and I couldn't understand what they wanted but kind laughed when I saw neighbour wi-fi. I chose Hotspot, C As to go to your neighbour for wi-fi. 1) not anyone would allow you to use it or it would take negotiation or a previous relationship. 2) fiber would take installation, from ISP to your premises.

The question is asking how to establish a connection in minimal time. In this case, only C makes sense, as Fiber would take at least a few hours if not already installed, due to needing a tech from your ISP to come install/set it up. vs. a 30 second mobile hotspot that could be made from your phone.

Interpreting this as "What gets the user connected to the internet as quick as possible", mobile hotspot would make the most sense here.

Activating a mobile hotspot would quickly determine if the problem is locally, like a faulty Ethernet port, or wireless card and/or antenna. ISPs can have problems too.

A lot of "Smart Individuals" in here. I would explain why Mobile Hotspot is the answer. The question says that a remote user reports connectivity issues with the local internet provider. In addition it says that even after the technician reboots the modem supplied by the ISP(Internet Service provider), the issue persists. Normally, your ISP will give you an account that you can use to access the internet by providing an username and a password and have internet. For this type of service, your ISP has a hotspot that you will be using for accessing the internet in case of a emergency or for whatever reason. Its part of the plan.

The question is kinda weird, but the situation happens periodically IRL. When my cable-based Internet goes down, I turn my phone into a mobile hotspot and connect to it with my PC (which has a Wi-Fi as well as Ethernet adapter).
