Just tackled a similar question during my exam, and it’s all about understanding phases in BCP creation! The correct answer here points to conducting a Business Impact Analysis (BIA). I remember reviewing this extensively using the examforsure.com guide, which made it crystal clear that BIA is all about identifying and prioritizing critical systems and functions in alignment with NIST best practices. The pro version of the guide really helped break down the BCP phases step by step. For tricky questions like this, keywords like "prioritization" or "critical systems" can be your guide to the right choice!

For future reference, use the first question of the dump to let people get a feel if the dump was accurate for the exam. I just passed the exam. Somehow... Out of the 4 PBQs, 321 and 428 and 2 brand new. Out of the 75 MC, 30 were brand new. This dump is pretty outdated. This will give you half, study up and know your concepts.

I've been studying all of the questions using the answers that were highly voted and planning on taking the exam in the next 2 weeks. Has anyone recently taking the exam using the same method and if so did you pass?

C. Conduct a business impact analysis. Explanation: In the context of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and referencing NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) best practices, the phase that establishes the identification and prioritization of critical systems and functions is the Business Impact Analysis (BIA). Conducting a Business Impact Analysis (Option C) involves assessing the potential impacts of disruptions to the organization's mission-essential functions. This phase helps identify and prioritize critical systems and functions based on their importance to the organization's overall objectives. It typically involves evaluating the potential consequences of disruptions, including financial, operational, and reputational impacts.

BIA is the "so what" to the organization. Always about the $$ and business continuity. What will be lost? What do we care about most? How can we protect what's most dear to us? If I don't do anything what will I lose? COOP is the perfect time to answer all those questions, but all those answers lie within COOP plan. If a previous BIA is not on hand, a new one will have to be done, especially for COOP, which is a different type of BIA than normal.
