formatting is a quick process to empty a disk, resetting the file system. While wiping is a complete way to clean up the whole disk, erasing all files.

Formatting would have to be more specific.. according to messer it can be standard full formatting or standard quick formatting. In this case, I wouldn't choose formatting...

true, becaue formatting is not safe and other metods damages the drive and makes it not more reusable
