Oh, I think now I actually understand ... the question says "after how long" ... so it's practically correct the answer "after 3 days" which means the 4th day.

I think that the answer should be 4 days...but there's no answer with 4 days...am I missing sth?

First lease renew after 1/2 of lease time i.e 6/2 = 3 days and second lease renew attempt in 7/8 of lease time ie 6x7/8 = 5.2 days.
