Ferrite reduces noise. It is the cylinder shape and the end of your laptop power cord.

The goal of the question is to hope you skim through and read "ceiling" and select plenum. After reading it a few times and searching "ferrite core" it makes sense I guess point being it doesn't ask to prevent fire-safety, or to like protect the cable it's asking for the most likely option to prevent interference. **This question or close to it was on my 220-1001, another one I got wrong I see... heads up to anyone who expects to be tested on direct questions like what does a VGA cable do lol

Ferrite cores are used to suppress electromagnetic emissions by blocking low-frequency noise and absorbing high-frequency noise. This avoids electromagnetic interference.

https://www.essentracomponents.com/en-gb/news/guides/guide-to-ferrite-beads-sleeves-and-cores#:~:text=Ferrite%20beads%20and%20cores%20are,shielded%20cables%20helps%20suppress%20EMIs. Ferrite Core used to suppress high frequency devices. Its on the topic of EMI. So regarding the question this would be a close answer.

Actually, after more research, Ferrite Core makes more sense in terms of VGA cables. Here is a good example. Remember, the Tech is running a VGA cable anyways. https://www.amazon.com/Pack-Feet-Black-ferrites-CNE503332/dp/B019GR38GU

another site side plenum, but plenum is an empty space. But, the plenum-grade cable is run inside walls and ceilings. So, I am going with Plenum.

plenum has to do with fire-rated safety, it does nothing for interference like the question ask
