A Windows user is attempting to install a local printer and is unsuccessful based on permissions. Which of the following user types BEST describes this user?
This should be standard user. It is unlikely a SOHO or a larger institution with a domain is using a guest account for users. They would more use that maybe in lobbies or as a quick kiosk type activity. Guest user is disable by default. The normal user would be a standard user. Standard users cannot install software and cannot install specifically printers/drivers for a printer without also being part of the admin group.
First of all, in the question is doesn't mention about a SOHO or a larger institution. I am literally on my pc as a 'standard user' and I am able to install a local printer??? Please don't make it to difficult for other learners.
Standard users and Guest users can't install applications on the system, so they aren't able to install printer driver needed by the printer. Nevertheless a standard user can add a local printer triyng it with general windows driver, so the answer is "guest user".
The question didn't mention enterprise environment. It stated "windows user."
