What is account Access. Apps don't get Account permissions. They can get location permissions however and this app knows your location because it's sending ads based on location.

I think the question is referring to an app's ability to see your search history, things you've purchased, etc.

Selected Answer: C
location access The GPS on your mobile device is useful for determining your current location within a few feet. This information can be combined with a mapping app to get directions or even to use search terms to find the goods and services you are looking for based on their proximity. So with the understanding of this behavior, it would be within reason that upon installation an advertising-based app would request access to the browser for advertising or business locations and certainly, the map app would be allowed to get the geolocation information. On installation conforming, apps will request the required features or data sets for your approval. If you deny this access the installation will usually terminate. Here is an example of the type of information that can be compromised and analyzed.

Using my phone as a reference I see no "Account Access" Permissions in my permissions manager. I do see Permissions for files and data, location, camera, microphone, call logs etc.... so I'm going with "location"

Very poorly worded question. Half the people here are swayed to answer A because of the user being prompted to download apps because of account access and half are swayed to answer C because of the ads showing up from different stores he's visited. But what the hell does CompTia want??

Definitely C. How could it be anything but C when the questions says 'physical stores'? only by having location access enabled could an app know which 'physical' /in person stores you've been to
