Here’s why I believe it could be b:
A and C sound more like an APT insisting on maintaining access.
D sounds more like a “hacktivist”, since they normally have a motive and seek retribution. So the only answer left is b.
I feel it D. A Script Kiddie it is possible this is a former employee like in HelpDesk who would probably deface his former employee company for retribution as per some books and online material i've read.
However in the real world a Script Kiddies would also want financial gain.
A and C are more complex, these would match more an APT ... so they are out.
B. Best Matches "Cyber Criminals" wich are motivated by the money
Credit Card Systems have higher compliance requierements ... so this is indicates higher technical knowledge. Also "seeling things on the darknet" isn't realy something the describes a script kiddie in the books (real world is a other thing)
d. Defacing a Website can sometimes be done with automatic tools like script kiddies use.
And these kiddies can get angry on a company ans seek revange.
alltough it now clear i leaning towards D in this case
The key word here is "retribution", would a script kiddie be seeking retribution? Sounds like the definition of hacktivist to me. Given they are all crap, is the B smallest piece of crap.
it's D
Lol even in the link provided with the answer tells you a script kiddie dosn't do it for profit.
"They typically break into organizations and vandalize sites not for the data but for the thrill of it, and as a way to increase their “street cred” amongst their peers."
B. Steal credit cards from the database and sell them in the deep web.
Raymond Nutting Pentest Plus book state that Script Kiddie are financially motivated...
