BCG - D is wrong The highlight of a full backup is the minimal time it requires to restore data. https://spanning.com/blog/types-of-backup-understanding-full-differential-incremental-backup/

B c G Here are the most important advantages and disadvantages of full backups: Fast restore. It’s faster and simpler to restore from a single file that contains all the data, which is an important advantage. Single file storage. Keeping all the backed up data in a single file results in better storage management. Besides, full backups are self-contained. High storage space requirements compared to other backup types. Also, since you likely don’t change all your data that often, using only full backups wastes a lot of storage space. Potential security issues. Since all the data is stored in one place, if your backup media somehow gets accessed or compromised, you lose it all. Slowest type of backup. It does take quite a while to copy all those files if your site is somehow significant in size.

D is incorrect. "A full backup is the easiest and quickest to restore. You only need to restore the single full backup and you’re done." Gibson, Darril. CompTIA Security+ Get Certified Get Ahead: SY0-501 Study Guide (p. 402). Kindle Edition. A full backup is the slowest to be complete/collect, but the quickest to recovery. Times taken to restore data: incremental > differential > full Times taken to do the bakcup: full > differential > incremental

I like provided answers. No good examples from anyone in the post. Here's one. Takes a long time on large networks to do a full backup everyday same would go to recover. "Doing a full backup on a large network every day takes a long time. A typical strategy for a complex network would be a full weekly backup followed by an incremental or differential backup at the end of each day." Reference: 1. COM501B - The Official CompTIA Security+ Study Guide (SY0-501)

Will go with BCG. Question does not mention anything about incrementals, so no point in factoring in option D.

you are right.. and I know that it does not say incremental or differentials, I was quoting from COM501B book. D probably is a better selection due to bandwidth consumption. found a few charts better explaining the answer. First reference confirms C and the second reference confirms even better. Thanks skuppper. I agree with D being Wrong, but I'm not sure what's the 3rd best option.

D is wrong, full backups are the quickest to restore. I'm going with C instead; B and G are correct though.

You need need all the incremental backups + the last full back up to restore, so it takes more recovery time.
