This should be B. Official CompTIA Project+ Student Guide Lesson 15 Topic C (pg 375) - "You also want to monitor the rate at which you are using up your budget, called the burn rate, to avoid running out of money before the scope has been completed."

Definitely B. Burn rate is an important component of project cost control, as it allows project managers to monitor the project's spending and take corrective action as needed to ensure that the project stays within budget. While the scope statement is not a component of project cost control directly, it is a critical document that helps to define the project's scope, objectives, and deliverables, which are all factors that can impact project cost control.

The component of project cost control among the given options is B, Burn rate. Burn rate refers to the rate at which a project is spending its available funds. It is an important component of project cost control because it can help project managers to stay on top of project spending and to identify potential cost overruns or issues early on.

Cost control is the process of measuring cost variances from the baseline and taking appropriate action, such as increasing the budget allocated or reducing the scope of work, to correct that gap. Cost control is a continuous process done throughout the project lifecycle. The emphasis here is as much on timely and clear reporting as measuring.
