I think the answer should be touch screen monitor. Touch for input and the monitor provides output.

Selected Answer: C
C. Touch-screen monitor A touch-screen monitor functions as both an input and output device. It displays visual information (output) while also allowing the user to interact with the screen through touch (input). Microphone is only an input device. Speaker is only an output device. Keyboard is only an input device.

the accuracy of this website's answer correctness is terrible, this is literally a CompTIA practice assessment question and the right answer is a touch screen monitor. In no way shape or form is a microphone a input-output system.

Funny how the options include speaker and microphone which would basically cancel them out. It's touch screen monitor. It outputs display and inputs, well input

Audio engineer here while you can technically output a signal to a microphone and hear audio from it... (I don't recommend you try this for yourself as you might accidentally destroy your mic unless you have a really cheap mic you're willing to sacrifice) ...That is not the intention of a microphone. Not to mention the fact that you can't both input and output a signal from it at the same time. A microphone is clearly intended to be used as a input-only device. However a touchscreen both is capable of inputs and outputs at the same time where as a microphone isn't.
