THIS IS THE WHOLE QUESTION: A client brings in a smartphone with a cracked screen to be repaired During the repair process, the technician places the screws in a small container to prevent losing them. The technician tests the replacement screen to ensure it works properly before dosing the device. Once the device is back together however it does not power on. The technician disassembles the device once again to test the screen and finds it has shorted out Which of the following disassembly procedures should the technician have followed to prevent this from occurring? AND THE ANSWER IS : A. LABEL THE LOCATION OF THE SCREWS.... This I retrieved from another site.... you're welcome!

It is necessary to fix this question, it seems that it is incomplete. What do they know what to know in reality? Is this taken from a real exam?

Maybe they shortened the "question" to a statement so that B becomes the answer but mentioning screw locations still hints to A.

If this is the Full Question: A client brings in a smartphone with a cracked screen to be repaired During the repair process, the technician places the screws in a small container to prevent losing them. The technician tests the replacement screen to ensure it works properly before dosing the device. Once the device is back together however it does not power on. The technician disassembles the device once again to test the screen and finds it has shorted out Which of the following disassembly procedures should the technician have followed to prevent this from occurring? THEN by the Nature of COMPTIA questions it stated: "places the screws in a small container" This was stated for a reason, I know COMPTIA making this overcomplicated but Documenting and labeling screws would be the answer the question is hinting on.

Yup this is the actual question as I saw from another exam dump. I am going with B. It is essential to read the owner's manual before you start anything. If no documentation then you will need to document all the screws and locations yourself.

nvm, the answer is A. I missed the keyword " disassembly procedures". During a disassembly procedure, you should always document and label your screws/location regardless if you read the manual or not.

It could be "A", or "B"; but "A" is the better answer because if you put the same screw that came out of somewhere there's no reason that it wouldn't work like you want it to.

It could be either or. I say the answer is A since the question already stated that the screws were placed in a container to prevent them being lost or misplaced. But sometimes that could be worded wrong too. The user could've misplaced them by accident without putting labels on and that could've been the cause of the phone not working. However, since it kind of stated that nothing was wrong with putting the screws back in. Choice B is the most logical answer.
