"A company runs a Linux server on a popular public cloud provider"´. They have a part of their infrastructure in the cloud, thats the definition of IaaS. Stop misleading people.

I am not sure this is a Hybrid case. It says that the company runs the servers on its own datacenter (not in a private cloud), and some on Public servers. Hybrid is a combination of Private and Public clouds, not on premise equipment and public clouding.

I agree, that's the definition of Hybrid Cloud nowdays, maybe not when these questions were written.
