MTBF measures the avg time a system OPERATES before failing, indicating its reliability, while MTTR measures the average time it takes to fix a system after it fails, focusing on repair efficiency.
Isn't it actually MTBF. B.
It doesn't say 'Total time system is down to failure' just the ours of operation / total num# of units
e.g. MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) is a measure of reliability for a system, calculated by dividing the total hours of operation by the total number of failures. This gives you an average time between failures, which is useful for assessing how often equipment or systems fail.
MTTR represents the average time it takes to repair a failed unit, and is calculated by dividing the total time a system is down due to failures by the total number of units that experienced failures
