Following a fire in a data center, the cabling was replaced. Soon after an administrator notices network issues. Which of the following are the most likely causes of the network issues? (Choose two.)
A.
The switches are not the correct voltage
B.
The HVAC system was not verified as fully functional after the fire
C.
The VLAN database was not deleted before the equipment was brought back online
D.
The RJ45 cables were replaced with unshielded cables
E.
The wrong transceiver type was used for the new termination
F.
The new RJ45 cables are a higher category than the old ones
D. The RJ45 cables were replaced with unshielded cables
E. The wrong transceiver type was used for the new termination
Explanation:
D. The RJ45 cables were replaced with unshielded cables: If the original network setup used shielded cables (e.g., STP - Shielded Twisted Pair) and the replacement cables are unshielded (e.g., UTP - Unshielded Twisted Pair), it could lead to network interference, particularly in environments with high electromagnetic interference. This could cause network performance issues.
E. The wrong transceiver type was used for the new termination: If the transceivers used for fiber or copper connections are incorrect or incompatible with the new cabling or network equipment, it could result in connectivity issues, leading to network instability or failure.
Because when Comptia lists,"the most likely causes" and are included in the options
The worst choice. I don't mean badly written but if its an option like D and E. Then they are "there"; Yes C is most likely to happen but imagine if all these options were actually implemented. D E is what you'd want to fix first even if in the "real" world C in more logical.
Comptia is going to comptia.
Folks, Options D and F, state RJ45 cables, and we should take note that there is nothing like RJ45 cable that I know of, but rather there is RJ45 connectors, so I honestly don't know what the question is trying to ask..So, I will only go with option E. The wrong transceiver type was used for the new termination for the moment.
