RPO ( Recovery Point Objective ) is the maximum acceptable amount of data loss from a disruptive event to its last backup that a business system can tolerate before causing harm to the organisation.
RPO is different from recovery time objective (RTO), which is the maximum acceptable amount of time that can pass before an organisation restores functionality to an application, service, data, or other digital asset that is inaccessible due to an outage.
