Remote wipe is the BEST solution and honestly, you should have both, the data should be encrypted if its that valuable and then wiped when lost.

I would go with A people...even if the device has encryption it can still be cracked...wiping the data from the device is your safest bet...and misplace or lost device is no different from a device that is stolen... ;)

A makes the most sense because encryption does protect the information. However, it would be better for whoever has stolen the device to not have any access to the information.

Remote wipe is a great option for stolen devices, but it's not ideal for a misplaced device as it could permanently erase valuable data even if the device is recovered. I'd go with encryption. Even if someone gains physical access to the device, they can't access the info without the decryption key.

Sorry, but it's not the BEST. Having no access to any data is better than having access to some encrypted one, it's just a fact. If they managed to login to the phone, which is possible, your encryption will mean nothing.
