B. Access control vestibule
An access control vestibule, also known as a mantrap, is a physical security measure designed to control access to a restricted area. It typically consists of an enclosed space with two sets of interlocking doors. The inner set of doors will only open if the outer set is securely closed, preventing unauthorized individuals from directly entering the restricted area.
The use of an access control vestibule helps maintain a record of events because each entry or exit is typically monitored and logged. It provides a controlled and monitored environment for individuals to pass through, and any attempt to gain unauthorized access or bypass the system would trigger an alarm or be recorded for security purposes.
key fobs keep a time and date record of who opened what door and for how long. Access control vestibule just prevents tailgating which is a preventative measure.
I think a access control vestibule would track how many people went through it but not necessarily record who went through so i'd lean more towards the key fob becuase that would keep records of the who.
the answer is B
access control vestibule refers to a secure entryway that typically requires authentication to enter and can track and record each individual's entry and exit, maintaining a record of events. This system not only restricts physical access to authorized personnel but also logs all access attempts, providing a detailed record of who enters or leaves the restricted area and when.
I went with Access control vestibule too but it is actually key fob. Messer explanation didn't really touch much on the significance of the fob so I did a little more research and found this YouTube video.

That video really didn't reinforce the key fob answer. This is a bad question, because vestibules often, BUT NOT ALWAYS include features like surveillance cameras or access logs to maintain a record of who enters and exits the area. They are sometimes used in conjunction with a fob. It really could be B or C.
Physical access control restricts access to a location. The only way to gain access to a secure area is with the proper credentials such as key cards, fobs and mobile credentials. Though both types of access control serve unique purposes, they often work in tandem
