Disabling applications under Startup can speed up boot times as it frees up CPU and memory resources. Defragmenting the disk can increase performance by rearranging files making read/write operations faster.
E. Defragmenting the hard drive might not be as effective for modern systems, especially if the PC is using a Solid State Drive (SSD). Defragmentation is more beneficial for traditional Hard Disk Drives (HDDs), but it doesn’t provide significant performance improvements for SSDs.
Disk Cleanup is used to free up storage space while Defragment is used for better performance. The concern here is in regards to performance during boot, it is not cleanup.
B: Reducing the number of startup applications can significantly improve boot times with no additional cost.
D: Disk Cleanup can help by removing temporary files and system caches that may be slowing down the boot process, at no cost.
