C is the correct answer
Lightning is a proprietary connection type that is used by Apple devices, such as iPhones, iPads, and iPods, to transfer data, charge, and connect to accessories. Lightning cables have a reversible 8-pin connector that can be plugged into a USB port on a workstation or a power adapter. USB-C, serial, and NFC are not compatible with Apple phones.

Test answer is C, Lightning, but figured I'd make the remark that the iPhone 15 now uses a usb-C connection, which makes this question outdated.
For the purpose of this exam though, and until they do the next exam revision the answer will be Lightning.
The correct answer is A. USB-C.
Apple phones use Lightning ports, but modern Apple devices also support USB-C connectivity. To transfer files from an Apple phone to a workstation, the user can use a USB-C to USB-C cable or a USB-C to USB-A cable (if the workstation has a USB-A port). This will allow for a wired connection and file transfer.
Here's why the other options are not the best choice:
B. Serial: This is an outdated connection type, not supported by modern Apple devices.
C. Lightning: While Apple phones use Lightning ports, they require a specific Lightning-to-USB cable or adapter to connect to a workstation, which may not be readily available.
D. NFC (Near Field Communication): This is a wireless technology for short-range data transfer, not suitable for transferring files between an Apple phone and a workstation.
Using a USB-C connection is the most convenient and widely supported option for file transfer.
C:
To transfer files from an Apple iPhone to a workstation, you should use a Lightning cable. Lightning is the proprietary connector developed by Apple for their mobile devices, including iPhones and iPads. You can connect the Lightning cable to your iPhone and the other end to a USB port on the workstation or to a USB adapter, allowing you to transfer files between the two devices.
