So Wildhunt is correct, its "let's take a look at your phone settings", Change to Port 993, and educate the customer. I looked up the answer for 143 or 993 and this is what I found, "Secure IMAP connections Port 993 is the default port for secure IMAP connections that use TLS/SSL encryption."

Port 143 is the default port for IMAP when using an unencrypted connection.
