If I'm not mistaken the rearm error prevent to complete the catalog creation. In this question, the catalog is completed. So it’s B and C

B & C. Be careful with this question. - Catalog has been created. Per ChatGPT I got this. "If the base image's rearm count had been exceeded, it would typically prevent the creation of a Citrix catalog in the first place. Once the rearm count limit is reached, you cannot create new virtual machines from that base image without resolving the rearm issue. Therefore, Option A is not the cause of activation failure for virtual machines created from an existing catalog."

I have re-read these comments a few times and thought it was B and C, as A does seem to relate to "creation" of the catalog, not activation. However I now I believe it is A and C as suggested. Mainly down to this article as it clearly states MAK licensing not supported, but also talks about a limit of 3 rearms. https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX128580/xendesktop-support-for-microsoft-kms-and-mak-activation-with-machine-creation-services There is no evidence in any support article or document of B being the answer, so this should be ruled out as the answer would only ever come from Citrix docs/articles. So defo A and C for me.

B & C A = an exhausted rearm count wouldn't allow the catalogue to even be created D = irrelevant

A&C A = https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX208191 C = Even MAK is not supported for an automatic roll out process. You can do it "manually via slmgr.vbs. But that´s a manual process after the machine catalog was created.

https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX128580 in this article it says MAK Activation Support Currently MAK-based activation for Windows is not supported with any version of MCS. In addition, Personal vDisk (PvD) at the moment does not support MAK activation, whether using MCS or Provisioning Services. "Currently MAK-based activation for Windows is not supported with any version of MCS" in in the question they do not say which version of MCS they are using, so maybe the answers are A&B but i`m not sure

I am still doubting But considering this article I would say A+C https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX128580 (see Note after 12 and MAK Activation support) But at the other hand, why is B wrong?

I say A&B A: https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX208191 B: Study materials: "Other licensing components could also fail: Microsoft KMS Server, Microsoft Remote Desktop Licensing Server, AV solution license system etc. • Failure of the license server can have different reasons: • The license server machine or the software crashed / is broken. • The license server machine is unable to communicate on the network"

As MCS only supports KMS version of Office, there are a number of KMS rearm failures that can happen during the Office rearm stage. The main failures reported are: Some Microsoft Office runtimes for example Access Runtime can cause the office rearm to be invoke causing it to fail A KMS version of Microsoft Office is not installed Rearm count exceeded A&C
