When you add a node you are prompted for the credentials which can differ from the credentials on the primary node. You will have to configure the primary to stay primary during this action. You otherwise risk the fact that the new node becomes primary and propagates an empty config to the initial primary node. Been there...
you need to set Primary to stay Primary cause otherwise config gets overwritten by secondary node that joins i think. Since when did the nsroot needed to be the same? Thats kind of an security issue imho.
Using the same nsroot password is the only mandatory option.
