After an administrator installs the Cisco Jabber client, it fails to register with the Cisco UCM server. Which two actions should be taken to troubleshoot this problem? (Choose two.)
A.
Verify the installation of the LMHOST file on the PC.
B.
Verify Layer 3 connectivity on the gateway.
C.
Verify corporate firewall settings for client connections.
D.
Verify the configuration of the DNS SRV record.
E.
Reboot the Cisco Unified Border Element Gateway.
C,D and here is my reasoning:
1) Question says "After an Administrator installs Jabber", which means that the PC - one way or another - has some sort of connectivity to download the jabber client from whatever destination (i.e. Internet/remote server) - and we can not just assume it was installed using a USB key because companies/corporate best practices does not fall onto that --> So we can assume it is not a connectivity issue
2) Any Corporate architecture will have some sort of a firewall (because you can not just expose your corporate to the internet without any sort of firewall, also because typically, public facing services "i.e. Expressway-E" will reside in DMZ" behind a firewall) --> Which means that the traffic needs to be checked on the firewall
3) The term "Gateway" in the collaboration world is not the same as "Gateway" in the routing world, so i feel that it does not make sense for Cisco to use overlapping Routing/Collab terminology
I vote B & D. I'm sure as shit going to verify the DNS SRV entry exists and layer 3 connectivity on the [default] gateway is working before I look into firewall issues (which we don't even know exists). A is nonsense and so is E, as a CUBE has nothing to do with this setup.
C,D are Correct.
C,D are related to IM&P servers/services directly.
B is also correct, but there's no mention that the computer doesn't have internet connectivity
I would argue that it is B & D. There is no mention that the computer doesn't have network connectivity, sure, but it definitely DOES have a default gateway. There is also no mention that there is a corporate firewall in the network path.
Could be but it does not mention default gateway but "on the gateway" like the LAN gateway. So the most accurate would be C and D.
