Why should configuring the exec-timeout fix the disabled exec? I would vote C to "resolv the issue" of console stopped responding to all keyboards. https://community.cisco.com/t5/routing/no-exec/td-p/3715737

What I need to fix here? The timeout or the disabled console port? "A" if you need to fix the timeout "C" if you need to reenable the console port. I would go for C

nice work Cisco: the question is : "Which action resolves the issue?" not achieve the desired outcome the issue is: "After logging out, the console stopped responding to all keyboard inputs." so it is not fixing the timeout any more - which can be fixed with "A"- , we need to get the console access back now, and that needs to be done with "C"

To clarify: "An administrator is attempting to disable the automatic logout after a period of inactivity" B: Absolute-timeout --> enables automatic logout D: default exec-timeout --> enables automatic logout from exec to default This leaves A and C as potential answers. When I apply both A and C to my GNS3 router: I cannot log back into router. Therefore we need to enable exec.

As the issue is that they disabled Cisco IOS exec under the console line, I go with "C". https://rednectar.net/2011/08/27/never-use-the-no-exec-timeout-command/ (The console session time-out is not a real issue.)

Selected Answer: A
We seem to have 2 issues. The first is to disable automatic logout and the second seem to be the re enablement of the exec for console line. Since we still have access via vty (hopefully and exec via vty) we can login via vty and configure option A.

It's recommended not to use: #no exec-timeout A couldn't be an answer! #exec-timeout 0 (is recommended to disable logout this way)
