The Cisco definition is as below. In this list, there is no Layer 4 field:
NetFlow is based on 7 key fields
• Source IP address
• Destination IP address
• Source port number
• Destination port number
• Layer 3 protocol type (ex. TCP, UDP)
• ToS (type of service) byte
• Input logical interface
If one field is different, a new flow is created in the flow cache.
A. destination port
B. Type of Service byte
Both fields are commonly used for network traffic analysis and are relevant for monitoring, troubleshooting, and security purposes. The destination port is used to identify the specific application or service that the traffic is destined for, while the ToS byte is used to indicate the priority of a packet and differentiate between different types of network traffic.
TOS is one field.
