do the math its always -6 so if you get the HSRP for group 22 then you do (22-6=16). another whats for group 16 then you do (16-6=10). just remember for this question do the -6

###Shortcut way of Decimal to Hexadecimal converting### 22/16 > 1 and remainder 6 > 16 ###Another example### For 254, 254/16 > 15, and remainder 14. 15 is F and 14 is E in Hax. So if you would like to convert the value of 254, the answer is FE in Hexadacimal.

Think Binary for HSRP - split the last octet into two: .128 .64 .32 .16 | .8 .4 .2 .1 0 0 0 1 0 1 1 0 Now make the number 16 out of Binary starting from the right to left^ Add the 2 numbers together from each slice of the octet you get 16

HSRP v1 uses the virtual MAC address of 0000.0c07.acxx where xx represent the group number. when replacing the 2 last digits xx with 22 we getting: 00.00.0c.07.ac.22. That's means "C" is the correct answer.

The number is in HEX not decimal. 22 = (2 x 16 ) + (2 x 1) = 34. Answer is B (1x16)+(6x1)=22
