Traffic that is received ona vPC “leg” and then crosses the Peer-Link is not allowed to be forwarded
out of another vPC Member Port.
However, it can go out of another type of port, such as a L3 port, or an orphan port.
The only exception to this rule is when a vPC in one of the vPC Peers goes down, then,
the switches will exchange the status of their local interfaces and the Loop Avoidance
logic will be re-programmed in Hardware.
In this case, the Peer-Link is used as our alternate back-up path for data-plane forwarding.
A voting comment increases the vote count for the chosen answer by one.
Upvoting a comment with a selected answer will also increase the vote count towards that answer by one.
