Can you explain ? for me the D&D is ok in the answer. The Network Configuration Protocol (NETCONF) is a network management protocol developed and standardized by the IETF.
NETCONF:
It is the standard transport protocol for communicating with network devices.
It retrieves operation data.
It sets and reads confirmation data.
Yang Data Model --> it shapes the state data and it develops data models.
The first page of this doc from Cisco calls NETCONF "a standard transport protocol that communicates with network devices". I think that's one of the answers.
