Answer A Correct https://www.juniper.net/documentation/en_US/release-independent/nce/topics/concept/nce-182-evpn-collapsed-core-evpn-multihoming-campus-overview.html#:~:text=A%20collapsed%20core%20architecture%20takes,layer%20on%20a%20single%20switch. A collapsed core architecture takes the normal three-tier hierarchical network and collapses it into a two-tier network. In a two-tier network, the function of the switches in the core layer and distribution layer are “collapsed” into a combined core and distribution layer on a single switch.

All are Wrong. In fact, in colapsed core there are no "distribution". Only core and acess layer

The question asked what the 'collapsed layer' is and not the components of the collapsed core architecture. In comparison to the 3 tier architecture, the collapsed layer consists of the core and distribution layers combined. I hope this helps.

Selected Answer: A
If you choose a hierarchical tiered architecture, the exact number of tiers that you would implement in a network depends on the characteristics of the deployment site. For example, a site that occupies a single building might only require two layers while a larger campus of multiple buildings will most likely require three layers. In smaller networks, core and distribution layers are combined and the resulting architecture is called a collapsed core architecture.
