Selected Answer: D
You use a CSSM satelite wheter it be in connected or disconnected mode. Or you can use a HTTPS proxy too, however neither a subscriber nor the publisher nor can be a HTTPS proxy (like Expressway Edge). Rather on-premises Unified Communications devices must not reach internet. In fact, in my job, CUCM is pointing to a HTTPS proxy, but there are other cluster in my company that target a CSSM Satellite, cause the policies of the company. So the best answer is D.

should be D: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/12_0_1/systemConfig/cucm_b_system-configuration-guide-1201/cucm_b_system-configuration-guide-1201_chapter_01011001.html The Cisco Smart Software Manager satellite can be deployed in either Connected or Disconnected mode, depending on whether the satellite can connect directly to cisco.com. Connected—Used when there is connectivity to cisco.com directly from the Smart Software Manager satellite. Smart account synchronization occurs automatically. Disconnected—Used when there is no connectivity to cisco.com from the Smart Software Manager satellite. -> "Smart Account synchronization must be manually uploaded and downloaded." Not A: ASA can not be a Cisco Smart Software Manager satellite Not B: UCM subscriber can not be a HTTPS proxy Not C: No IPsec to Smart-Account
