Refer to the exhibit A company recently deployed Cisco Jabber. Users log in to Jabber by using their email address in a domain named company.com. The users report that they cannot register their Jabber telephony services when working from home unless they use a VPN. An engineer runs the DNS lookup tool in Cisco Expressway-C to troubleshoot the issue. What is the cause of the issue?

  • A. The TTL value for the company.com domain is too short.
  • B. There is a missing SRV record entry for the company.com domain.

Selected Answer: B
It seem a design where the Expressway E is not using a dual nic. So the expressway C can reach to the Expressway-E by hairpining. In these conditions, when you put in query type "all", you are specifying or expecting SRV and A records. Then, it should resolve as A records as SRV records _collab-edge._tls.company.com. But if this is not showings srv's, so it is probably they are missing in the public DNS servers, or may be the records are wrong in the DNS servers or anyway. I think answer is B by my experience.
