The correct answer should be D. When the hold timer expires means the successor for this route is down and the feasible successor must be added to the routing table. This will cause a topology change and therefore a notification will be sent to all the routers in a multicast format.
When an EIGRP process is shut down, router sends out “goodbye” messages to its neighbors.
Check on google before saying there is no goodbye message in Eigrp!
