voice translation-rule 1000 rule 1 /\+/ // ! voice translation-profile STRIP-PLUS translate CALLED 1000 How did this answer get SOOO wrong. You have to use the \ "backslash- slants leftward or backward" as an escape character before you can use a +. EVERY IOSXE/IOS out there will ding you for not doing this. Also....this is the number that is DIALED...not the number that did the DIALING. So its CALLED, not calling. And of course, the rule is referenced by the number 1000.

rule 1 /+/ // searches the dialed string for ‘+’ and changes it to null (i.e., removes it) Last line should be: translate called 1000 https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/voice/call-routing-dial-plans/64020-number-voice-translation-profiles.html#toc-hId-672735434

Rule 1 should be "1 /\+/ //". You have to escape the + or the CUBE interprets it as regex. Tested this on my CUBE to sanity check.
