An engineer is trying to log in to their lightweight access point joined to a WLC that does not have AP credentials defined. Which credentials does the engineer use?
If the lightweight access point (AP) is joined to a Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) that does not have specific AP credentials defined, the engineer should use:
D. AP Global Configuration configured credentials.
These credentials are configured as part of the global settings for the access point on the WLC and will be used for logging in to access the AP directly. If global credentials are not defined, the AP will not have a defined way to authenticate access requests directly.
tested in lab with 1832i AP. Once the AP associated to WLC. it will sync config / setting with WLC. actually, when a AP associated to WLC. SUPPOES no need to login ap induvial. we can manage the APs via WLC. we have to setup the AP login via AP global config.
A & B are wrong. tested 2-3 model , default login is Cisco/cisco.
Looks like D is better
Option B (Cisco/Cisco) is not the correct answer because it is a common default username and password combination that is typically used for initial setup or testing purposes. However, in a production environment, it is recommended to use more secure and unique credentials.
Lab Exercise (9800-CL, 17.3.7):
ssh disbaled by default // telnet disbaled by default
set to enable leads to the following error message
"Error in Configuring AP JOIN PROFILE - AP SSH access enable config is not allowed with AP user management credentials set to default"
If the AP is currently joined to the WLC and no specific credentials have been defined for that AP, Global Credentials will be used. Correct answer is D.
i think it`s C
