CE is correct. Endpoints does not mean the servers

Endpoints connect only to the spine switches: In a standard spine and leaf architecture, endpoints such as servers or storage devices connect only to the spine switches, and not directly to the leaf switches. This is because the spine switches act as the core of the network, providing high-speed connectivity and traffic aggregation.

Endpoints must never connect to spines as it limits the scalability of spines' FIB especially with EVPN VXLAN overlay!

Surely not, lots of servers and storage connect to leaf. That's the design of DC switches. Aggregrate the links if not enough bandwidth.

totally agreed. spine is comparable to core and core is all about highspeed transit, no services or servers.
